Viking River Cruises is a leader in river cruising. As the world's largest river cruise line, Viking River Cruises have more ships going to more destinations than any other river cruise line. Viking River Cruises sails the rivers of Europe, Russia & Ukraine, and China. With Viking River Cruises, you'll experience both cosmopolitan cities and charming villages. Your journey will bring you up close to historic sites and natural wonders. And you'll come home with an intimate understanding of the people and cultures you've encountered along the way. Viking River Cruises has consistently received awards and accolades from their passengers, and they are a multi-year recipient of Travel + Leisure's "World's Best" award, as well as being named to Condé Nast Traveler's "Gold List" multiple times. more
Featured Ship: Allure of the Seas
Allure of the Seas is the second ship in the Oasis class of ships and is owned by Royal Caribbean International. Allure's maiden voyage was November 2010, and it was built in STX Europe shipyard in Turku, Finland. At 220,000 gross tons, this ship hosts 5400 guests and 2165 crew. This is one of the first ships to have interior stateooms with balconies facing interior open spaces. The ship features a zip-line, a casino,a mini-golf course, multiple night clubs, several bars and lounges, a karaoke club, comedy club, four swimming pools, volleyball and basketball courts, theme parks and nurseries for children. Onboard activities are organized into seven themed areas called neighborhoods. Neighborhoods include Central Park, Pool & Sports Zone, Spa & Fitness Center, Boardwalk, Royal Promenade, Youth Zone and Entertainment Place. The sister ship to Allure of the Seas is Oasis of the Seas. Both ships sail from Fort Lauderdale to the Caribbean. more

Featured Destination: Orient/Asia/Africa/Egypt
The first travelers to the Orient were searching for jewels and silks, spices and ivory. What they found was a great civilization, already ancient when Christianity was born. Asia is just as much a land of superlatives in current times: the largest continent, the tallest mountains, the longest coastline, and three-fifth's the world's population. The riches of Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei still defy description. Today, you can gaze into a Buddha's venerable eyes in Vietnam. There is so much to see that is both foreign and exotic to outsiders in this part of the world. The island nation of Japan has entertained visitors only since the 19th century. Only a handful of cruise lines sail seasonally between October and May to the Orient, Asia and the Far East. Cruises range from 14 days to 21 days depending upon the ship, sailing date, and itinerary. Because of the variety of destinations that make up this area, it is very rare that you'll begin and end your cruise in the same port city. more
